Call from 08453 888 102.
Alan called and wanted to talk about unenforceable credit agreements. Being a friendly sort of chap I agreed to hand him over to Mr Smith.
Unfortunately Mr Smith had been murdered that very morning and the police wanted to talk to any possible witnesses including his telephone contacts.
I had to try and get Alans full name, address, date of birth and an alibi for the time of the murder.
He wasn't very happy about this but putting the Scottish coroner (who just happened to be here...) on the phone helped a lot.
It wasn't until I'd obtained this information and advised that Alan will be receiving a visit from the Telephone Murder Investigation Squad based in Tipton that I noticed something odd.
Mr Smiths head was missing, presumably stolen.
This was clearly a dual murder/robbery and Alan was the prime suspect. I mentioned this to him and he hung up.
