Call from Withheld.
In a week where we received maybe a dozen or more similar calls, we got bored of talking to them so we decided to see how long they would hold on for.
We tried two methods.
1) "I'm really interested in this. Wait until I get my details ready" and then put the phone to one side whilst occasionally asking "Still there? Just a moment"
2) "I'm really interested in this. Wait until I get my details ready" and then nothing.
Method 1 produced a total wait time of 9 minutes.
Method 2 produced a total wait time of 6 minutes.
The latter method is more fun as it means someone is just sitting there with nothing to do.
